Rain on your wedding day can actually be a gift.
Cloud cover gives us soft, flattering light and richer colours, and everything feels a little more intimate. If it does rain, I’ll use more flash where needed to add depth and catch the raindrops, giving your images that cinematic, atmospheric feel.
So if the weather turns, don’t worry. Lean into it. The result will be natural, romantic, and full of real moments. We had a break in the rain straight after their ceremony, but the rest of the day was a wash out!
Check out what a rainy day looks like through my lens.
The light will affect how your final images look, but my signature edit remains the same.
We will still get all of the joyous images, just with a slightly different finish if flash is required.

We appreciate that a lot of couples are now having separate registry dates, for many reasons including the fact they are having a destination wedding.

Bonus points if you're getting married in Bristol or Bath!
A May wedding often brings brighter skies, warmer air and longer days.
If it’s hot with direct sun, the light will be stronger and more contrasty, which gives your images a vibrant, summery feel. I’ll guide you into the best spots and use light creatively so everything still feels natural and flattering.
And if you’re lucky, you’ll get that lush golden hour glow in the evening, just like Mollie and Jack. Soft, warm light, long shadows and that dreamy finish that only May evenings can give.
Whatever the weather brings, your gallery will reflect it beautifully.
Golden hour light will naturally shape how your final images look, especially on a sunny May day, but my signature edit will always remain the same.
You’ll still have all of the joyful, natural moments, just with a warmer, sun-soaked finish as the evening light softens around you.
Camilla and Marcus had a true winter wedding. They were married at 4.30pm, with no natural daylight left at all.
By that point it was completely dark, which meant we relied fully on artificial light and flash. Instead of soft daylight, we created it. The result was moody, romantic and full of depth, with a real evening atmosphere that suited the season perfectly.
Winter weddings bring a different kind of magic. Candlelight feels warmer, backgrounds fall away into darkness, and the focus stays exactly where it should be. On the two of you.
Winter light will shape how your final images look, especially with earlier sunsets and darker evenings, but my signature edit will always remain the same.
You’ll still receive all of the joyful, natural moments, just with a slightly different finish if flash is needed to create the light around you.
