Minerva Vines Workshop

My blog is a bit of a window into everything I do. It’s where I can share more than just a handful of highlights, giving a better sense of how things actually felt on the day, rather than just the standout moments.

I use this space to show more of the stories behind what I photograph, the kind of work I’m drawn to, and the details that might otherwise get missed. I’ll also share bits that might actually be useful if you’re planning things yourself. Top tips, ideas, and things I’m seeing more of lately that are working really well.

It should give you a clearer idea of how I shoot and what matters to me when I’m documenting a day.

If you spend a bit of time having a look through, you’ll start to get a feel for whether my work is the right fit for you, which is kind of the whole point.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of attending a workshop run by L’atelier workshops for creatives at the incredible Minerva Vines.

What an absolutely stunning venue. Albeit it is currently temporary, and will be being rebuilt permanently next year, it’s such an amazing space. Gorgeous light, amazing surroundings.

We had the incredible Michaeala and Joe and Gigi and Taure modelling for us, wearing amazing dresses from Edmondson Bridal Couture and suits by Charles Gale.

I absolutely LOVE getting creative at workshops. I find them super important to get me going before wedding season. Testing and trying out new bits of kit and ideas.

I really love the weird and wonderful adverts by Zara back in the day. Remember the shots of girls on the hob and crazy other poses? Yeah, I used to laugh at them, but now I draw inspiration from them- I still remember them all these years later… Iconic, if you will!

The florals and the tablescapes were just absolutely gorgeous, I absolutely LOVED the pink and green colour scheme. So beautiful!

Anyway, noone really likes to read these, they’re just good for SEO right?
